In our last cohort, holding calls on M/Th at 6pm PST/9pmEST (T/F 10am Tokyo/11am Sydney) worked well for our members across multiple time zones. The plan is to stick with those bi-weekly call times. If enough enrollment & demand calls for us adding additional call times in different time zones, we will expand with the cohort!
No, in the spirit of reciprocity and honoring the labor of love that goes into creating a space like this, our policy is no refunds. However, we center our learners as whole humans. If you are experiencing extenuating circumstances, please initiate a conversation with Dr. Joey or her team by emailing [email protected] so we can explore best solutions together.
This course meets you where you're at. You are sovereign over your learning experience. There will be roughly 15 hours of live call times offered per month. The embedded self-study course holds about 12 hours of material to be consumed at your own pace. For those who wish to immerse themselves in as much as possible, the online community is available at any time and additional assignments/challenges will be offered to deepen integration. For those who wish to dip their toe in, the space will be welcoming and gentle to land in whenever and as often as you are ready. Your learning & becoming is valid (and deeply personal) no matter what it looks like on the surface. You belong here.
Joey lives and works in Taiwan, the ancestral lands of many Indigenous peoples, including the Amis, Atayal, Bunun, Kanakanavu, Kavalan, Paiwan, Puyuma, Rukai, Saisiyat, Sakizaya, Seediq, Thao, Truku, Tsou, and Yami peoples, and in Hawaii, the ancestral lands of the Kānaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian) people.
My collaborator, Malia, lives and works on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Tongva (Gabrielino), Tataviam, and Chumash peoples, who continue to steward the Los Angeles region to this day. We acknowledge the painful histories of colonization and honor Indigenous communities who maintain their kinship with these lands.
We recognize our deep interconnection with the more-than-human world—the waters, mountains, forests, and all beings with whom we share these sacred places—and the responsibility this kinship demands of us. We commit to supporting Indigenous sovereignty and environmental stewardship through our work.
